Yup. Hard training for sure. My legs are quite sore today.

WYN is quite good. It is always great to watch him practice. I have not see the competition video yet but hopefully I will have time soon.

Thanks for the comment!

You did a very hard training session. I did it several years ago but i should improve my conditioning to do it now. Patience and constance is the secret.

I'm glad you can see Wu Ya Nan. Please, congratulate him for me. I saw his exercise in the WWC in Ankara and he was really great (in YouTube). Today, no one have his style, fluidity and smoothness in the jumps. He's the best Taiji athlete at this moment. I study his movements to learn from home. :-)

Certainly, all points you referred in your article are true but i add anymore (assuming the risk i spoil your part 2 ^_^).

First, chinese people has practicing martial arts for centuries, almost four thousand years as their fighting method. It's only a theory but i think that their body maybe was evolve adapting to this really, reducing height or weight to gain flexibility, agility and resistence in the same way that Ethiopians are naturally endowed to marathon (they are walking long distances for centuries). Natural selection.

However, west people has no necessities of this type and developed a fighting style based on greek culture (that is where occident born) based on strenght and technology (chinese people had a great technology but their honour code and spiritual necessities found in martial arts a method, a way, the Dao).

Martial arts have a great component of philosophy, culture and genetic memory of chinese people. I think its really imposible that a person from west, with equal phisical conditions, training methods and ability evolutions, can exceed a person from east.

We need to study philosophy and culture to understand martial arts. How many people in the west do it? A 1% from practicians? I doubt it even that.

Evidently, this experiment is imposible because there aren't two identical people so we have keep with doubt. :-)

Too true. Its very helpful to be a little retrospective about one's wushu. I remember a prominent athlete once telling me that he used to think about his wushu 3 times more than other people, which was the reason for his success in competition. He didn't train more -- he just through about training more -- working through forms in his head and figuring out the details within himself. Too true.

Always learn something when you train alone. I do it all days except thursdays when i train with my master. It's not the best but she don't has more time.

I think when you train alone you can feel better your body, your breath and your sensations. Probably, you have a better concentration and that's very important.

Dear Mark, 你好！
怎么样？在意大利非常好，可以点忙因为每天台工作了啊！！！
还是我们在西安来吧！
Thank You so much for sharing such clip and experiences!!!
The basic of kids are so usefull every every time.
I still look at some huo-dong and zu-he of kids in Beijing uploaded from Wushuonefamily some years ago and they're still working!!!
It's a couple of weeks Claudia and me just started deeper training as I told You.
Clau joined a goup of aghonistic kids of Artistic Gymn for physical training and acrobathic techniques training, they're such a good team!!!
Me I just accorded witha friend of mine for working on mobility and picha and sucha and leg isometry and power to get the best legs I can. I work hard twice morning a week in this sense!
Other 3 morning I work on chen techniques: basic, and one "duan" repeated and repeated 'till I have to wash and go to work.
Also 3 evenings can training a couple of hours, playng entire routines.
I think that if I can sped an year in this way I can improove a lot!!!
I may ask you if it's possible for you to find some information about training in Chen here in Xi'an. Not modern Chen (56 shi) but traditional one: laojia, xingjia and tuishou.
In particular I would like to understand if it's possible to find someone linked to 王戦軍 Wang Zhanjun, who's in turn disciple of 王西安 Wang Xian...
太谢谢你好朋友！！！ 很想到中国快回来啊！！！
88
Wishing You all the best from sunny Florence!!!
